
We are pleased to announce to wonderful additions to the APECS Council. Both Nathalie and Adrienne are postdoctoral reasearchers and will stregthen our organization by tieing APECS together with two great groups of researchers - the ARCTOS Network for Arctic Marine Ecology and the International Arctic Research Center. Congratualtions to them both and we know this is just the beginning of a wonderful collaboration.
Nathalie is currently a postdoctoral position at the University of Tromso in Norway, in the team of Professor Paul Wassmann. She works on the impact of changes in temperature and pH, on the metabolism of zooplanktonic and benthic organisms and has participated in studies in different Arctic seas, including Barents Sea, Beaufort Sea, Bering Sea and Greenland Sea. Adrienne is a post-doctoral fellow at the International Arctic Research Centre (Fairbanks, Alaska) studying sea ice and climate change in the Arctic. Her work focuses on the development of statistical models for sea ice forecasting on seasonal time-scales and understanding the main causes of interannual variability in sea ice area.
