| IPY Oslo Stipend Application Update - 31 January 2010 |
 Wow! The interest in the IPY Oslo Science Conference has been amazing. We had over 850 applications for the Oslo Stipend Programme which includes reduced registration and lodging for early career researchers.After initial screening, 650 people meet the eligibility requirements. These applications are currently being reviewed by the Stipend Review Committee. We hope to notify the 400 talented young researchers that will receive the stipends by 15 February. We encourage all of you who are interested in attending the conference in June to begin to look for additional travel funds to help make sure you can attend the largest polar research conference to date. |
