| IASC supports early career scientists at IPY Oslo Science Conference 2010 |
 The International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) will provide several travel grants for early career scientists to attend the International Polar Year (IPY) Oslo Science Conference. With this support IASC strives to enhance the participation and contribution of early career scientists to one of the most important polar science events of the upcoming year. The conference offers a challenging scientific program and provides an excellent opportunity to collaboratively chart the future direction of polar research. A special committee appointed by the conference organizers will coordinate the selection procedure. Further announcements regarding stipends and travel support for early career scientists will be placed on the IPY Oslo Science Conference website www.ipy-osc.no and at the IASC news page www.iasc.info/news. The conferences takes place in Oslo, Norway from June 8-12, 2010.
