One of the aims of APECS is to foster the development of enthusiastic and innovative Polar researchers. While library learning is important, Polar science is considerably enhanced by fieldwork and field learning. By providing motivation, teaching skills, and encouraging a physically-based understanding of the polar regions, field schools serve an important role in the development of any polar scientist.
APECS is proud to play a role in sponsoring and organizing field education experiences for its members all over the world. Check out the links on the left-hand menu to see what APECS has been up to. Keen to organize your own field school? Consider starting an APECS working group! |
