There are a lot of things constantly being developed within APECS, and the leadership represents our most active members. It is composed of early career researchers that are interested in the activities and the future directions of the organization. By being involved in APECS, young researchers gain skills in leadership, communication, organization, and international cooperation. The strength of the volunteer efforts of APECS members is what drives our organization and activities. Project initiation and management, whether web-based or in-person events, are carried out by a number of member-initiated working groups and committees made up of both members and mentors.
All APECS activities are governed by the organizational Terms of Reference and Rules of Procedure, which were approved by unanimous vote in 2008.
