There are a lot of great research facilties in Tromsø. As a way to help young researchers from various institutions in Tromsø to meet each other the Tromsø High North Cluster (THiNC) and the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) will be hosting the 1st Tromsø Young Researchers Symposium. The symposium is an event in connection with the International Polar Week: What Happens at the Poles Affects Us All (15-19 March).

• Who: All Young Polar Researchers and Early Career Scientists in Tromsø (PhDs, Postdocs, other employees) from all disciplines, working on projects dealing with the Arctic, Antarctic, the general Cryosphere, climate change, social impact, indigenous peoples of the north, languages, history etc. 
  
  

• What: An afternoon and evening of sharing your research projects, meeting colleagues and learning about the research facilities and activities here in Tromsø.

REGISTRATION AND PRACTICAL DETAILS

The event is free of charge, but we are asking you to register through the form by 12 March, to be sure we have enough food for you all!

Please be prepared to bring a poster to share your research (70 width x100 heigth cm). This can be something already presented at another conference, so don’t feel like you have to create something new – unless of course you want to!
