The National Centre for Atmospheric Science Graduate Summer School in Atmospheric Measurement a two week field course is aimed at atmospheric science PhD students entering their first or second year of research,  it is also possible for a supervisor to secure a place for a first year student in advance of their PhD start date.

The course has been designed for:

1. PhD Students who are researching a specific area of atmospheric science in order to give a broad overview of the atmospheric system, and/or
2. PhD Students whose research project involves fieldwork in order to introduce them to principles of atmospheric fieldwork including instrumentation, data analysis and organizing fieldwork.

Applications need to be submitted online by the 14^th June 2010. Registration includes a supporting statement, references and you will also be required to send your up to date C.V.

NERC funded PhD students are subsidized to attend this course, and there are a limited amount of full and partial bursaries for non-NERC students.
