The UK Polar Network will be holding a mentoring session for early career scientists at this years International Glaciological Society’s British Branch meeting at Aberystwyth University. The panel consists of recognised academics and leading polar/glacial researchers across a range of disciplines in cryospheric science. The session will provide a rare opportunity for early career scientists to pose questions to our mentoring panel relating to career paths and future employment. Previous sessions have been highly informative with excellent feedback from both the audience and the mentors.
The IGS British Branch meeting is to be held by the Centre for Glaciology at Aberystwyth University between 15th and 17th September 2010, with the mentoring session running alongside the AGM on the afternoon of Thursday 16th.
We send out a warm invitation to all (early career) scientists to join us at this event.
