DESCRIPTION
According to its website (http://www.foresightcentre.co.uk/Pages/Article.aspx?id=23) : The Foresight Centre is the premier business conference and meeting facility of Merseyside. Part of the prestigious University of Liverpool, the centre is housed within one of the city's most impressive Grade II listed buildings of great architectural significance. Formerly the Liverpool Royal Infirmary, the building has undergone a remarkable transformation. Designed by Alfred Waterhouse, champion of high Victorian Gothic with advice from Florence Nightingale, the building was purchased by the University of Liverpool restored to its former glory and officially opened by HRH Duke of York in June 1998. With twenty meeting rooms and atrium areas including specialist facilities, the centre offers the most comprehensive meeting space in the region - incorporating flexible, innovative spaces to the more formal business meeting setting.
