The Alaska Ocean Observing System (AOOS) is inviting input for new project ideas and proposals to include in their next 5-Year cooperative agreement with NOAA’s Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS).
AOOS welcomes ideas to expand ocean observations in Alaska that may include:
- New observing assets (moorings, radars, ship surveys, community based monitoring)
- Equipment purchases or upgrades
- Modeling and forecasts
- Data product development
- Education and outreach programs
