2 PhD and Post-doc positions studying low-flow freeze-on & biogeochemistry in Greenland

The two advertised PhD projects are funded by the UK Natural Environment Research Council and will take place in concert with our NSF-NERC funded project "Chemistry and Biology under Low Flow Hydrologic Conditions Beneath the Greenland Ice Sheet Revealed through Naturally Emerging Subglacial Water". The two PhD projects will take place at Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK as part of the OnePlanet Doctoral Training Partnership. The doctoral programme will begin in October 2022 and include 3.5 years of funding. One doctoral project will focus on geochemistry and the other on geophysics. The NSF-NERC project will also fund a 2-year post-doctoral position, with an ideal start date in spring/summer 2023. Though the position is not yet advertised, please feel free to reach out to Dr Graly if you expect to be seeking postdoctoral work at around that time.
