There is a vacancy for a Ph.D. Research Fellow in physical oceanography at the Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen. The position is connected to studies of physical processes in the Nordic Seas, especially the region north of Iceland along the East Greenland continental slope. The Ph.D. candidate will focus on circulation along continental slopes, water mass transformation, and effects of different sea ice scenarios. The framework for the study is numerical modeling using the Regional Ocean Modeling System, ROMS. The application deadline is 7 August.
