Organized by the International Council Project Group on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the webinar was a panel discussion on ways polar research funding agencies, academic unions, and universities are changing their policies to include more diverse voices within the membership, reduce incidents of harassment, and foster a culture of inclusion. The panel discussion included Chandrika Nath, the executive director of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research, Claudia Alves de Jesus Rydin, chair of the European Geophysical Union Diversity and Equity Working Group, Agnieszka Kruszewska, executive committee member of the Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs, and Renee Craine, Program Manager of the NSF Office of Polar Programs.
