DESCRIPTION:This workshop will focus on the assessment of landslide and debris flow haz
 ards in the Carpathians and other mountain areas based on the monitoring an
 d modelling of these processes using integrated techniques. The aim of this
  workshop is to introduce the impact of these processes on the building, tr
 ansport, recreational infrastructure and to discuss what needs to be done t
 o minimize the risk of natural hazards in the mountain regions.\nThe Worksh
 op offers a rich scientific programme and a great opportunity to obtain use
 ful information about landslide and debris flows activity, to join the scie
 ntific debate, create partnerships, and to participate in informal meetings
 , plus interesting and fascinating field excursions within the Ukrainian Ca
 rpathians. It is also important to note that the conference welcomes studen
 ts and young scientists in order to provide the venue where they can demons
 trate and implement their experience in research, as well as absorb the kno
 wledge and skills from experienced scholars. \nThe workshop will take place
  in the wonderful city with a lively history – Lviv, which was founded in t
 he 13th century. The city’s well-preserved historic center is a UNESCO Worl
 d Heritage Site and has attractions like the Market Square (Ploshcha Rynok)
