****Invitation to participate in the kick-off workshop for the SCAR INSTANT Programme - INStabilities  & Thresholds in ANTarctica: The Antarctic contribution to global sea-le vel

Tim and I are proud and excited to announce  “ INSTANT”, a new SCAR scientific programme recently approved. INSTANT will o fficially start  in January. The aim of the SRP is to “qu antify the Antarctic ice sheet contribution to past and future global sea-l evel change, from improved understanding of climate, ocean and solid Earth interactions and feedbacks with the ice, so that decision-makers can better anticipate and assess the risk in order to manage and adapt to sea-level r ise and evaluate mitigation pathways.

This programme also pa rtners with SCAR-WCRP ISMASS Project, WRCP-CLIC core activities, WCRP-CLIVA R core activities, PALSEA, and PMIP.
