DESCRIPTION:<p>The U.S. Arctic Research Commission, the Centers for Disease Control and
  Prevention, and the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation invite
  registration for the virtual workshop,&nbsp;<em>Tracing the Pandemic Throu
 gh Wastewater: Using Sewage Monitoring to Investigate Infectious Disease</e
 m>. This workshop will be held <strong>virtually 2-3 February 2021</strong>
 .</p><p>The workshop is free and open to the public, though aimed at health
  and water/sanitation professionals, and will feature guest speakers and pa
 nelists from around the world.</p><p><strong>The two-day workshop will cove
 r:</strong></p><ul><li>An overview of the current state of the science of W
 astewater Epidemiology,</li><li>How this technology is being used during th
 e COVID-19 pandemic,</li><li>Testing goals and potential sampling approache
 s for Alaska’s unique and varied remote communities, and</li><li>Ethical pr
 ivacy considerations when conducting these activities in small communities.
