Since the Alpine Glaciology Meeting had to be cancelled due to pandemic reasons in 2020, we now joined forces to organ ise a virtual AGM 2021 by Italy and Germany.
The AGM 2021 will be fully v irtual, because the situation at the moment does not allow us to p lan on a physical gathering, neither South nor North of the Alps. Therefore , we would like to invite all interested people in joining us for two days of scientific exchange on 25 and 26 March 2021!
The meeting aims on presenting and discussing rece nt advances in the investigation of mountain glaciers in their environment, no matter in which region of the world. Young scientists and students are encouraged to present their work in a very informal and friendly atmosphere . But also the older generation is highly welcome to contribute wi th their findings to a successful meeting. We maintain the usual structure of oral sessions, but posters are also welcome within a special “virtual po ster room”. The oral presentations are expected to take 15 Minutes followed by 5 Minutes of questions and discussion. For the posters, a short five-mi nute presentation is planned with a follow-up discussion.
Abstract su bmission is now closed, and we wish to thank everyone who has submitted a c ontribution; we have a rich programme with a lot of very interesting talks! The conference will be held on the Zoom platform. To take part without a c ontribution, we ask you to register online by no later than 22 Marc h on the website so we can send you the link to participate.
