SUMMARY:New international ice-core seminar series: first seminar advertisement

DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Ice Core Young Scientists (ICYS)</strong> is happy to announce a
  new international ice-core seminar series starting February 25<sup>th</sup
 >, with the support of the International Partnership in Ice Core Sciences (
 IPICS).</p><p>We will be holding monthly seminars each with two talks, one 
 from a senior researcher, followed by an early-career researcher (ECR) in a
  similar research theme. There will be plenty of time for questions and dis
 cussion.</p><p>The series aims to provide much needed scientific interactio
 ns between researchers at all stages in their careers, especially given the
  cancellation of in-person conferences at this time.</p><p>Our first semina
 r will take place on <strong>February 25<sup>th</sup> </strong>at <strong>1
 9:00 – 20:00 UTC</strong>:</p><ol><li><strong>Mass spectrometry under the i

 ll also be hearing more details on the new DEEPICE training network:</p><ol

 k on understanding proxies from Antarctic deep ice</strong>&nbsp;- Emilie C
