With climate as a central organiz ing principle of the new Biden Administration’s global approach, U.S.-Arcti c science, policy, and diplomacy are expected to take on increasing importa nce. As the poles warm, complex and intersecting issues of climate change, natural resource development, Arctic Ocean governance, Arctic Council coope ration, Indigenous Peoples’ rights, and U.S.-Russia security become central to U.S.-global interests. This panel of experts will discuss the many oppo rtunities and challenges facing the Biden administration as it formulates a new U.S.-Arctic strategy that highlights Alaska and our global responsibil ities as an Arctic nation.
