  GeoX Early Career Scientist Section workshop on<strong> “Online conference
 s 2021”</strong>. The workshop will be on <strong>Tuesday the 13th of April
  between 10-12 h</strong>.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The conferenc
 e season for 2021 is kicking off and for a lot of people this means staying
  at home while following multiple sessions, giving a talk of presenting a p
 oster, following a workshop, networking etc.</p><p style="text-align: justi
 fy;">So what does it mean to join an online conference? What are the benefi
 ts and what are the negative sides? Some of you may have joined an online c
 onference last year and perhaps have questions on how things have been impr
