DESCRIPTION:<p style="text-align: justify;">We invite you to contribute to the "<strong
 >Second International Conference on Natural Hazards and Risks in a Changing
  World". </strong>Registration and abstract submission are possible now! Th
 e conference will be held in a hybrid format to allow for worldwide partici
 pation and pandemic related uncertainties. We will be happy to welcome you 
 on-site at the University of Potsdam (Campus Griebnitzsee) in Potsdam, Germ
 any on <strong>5-6 October 2021</strong> or as an online participant.</p><p
  style="text-align: justify;">The purpose of this conference is to bring to
 gether researchers from natural sciences (e.g. hydrology, meteorology, geom
 orphology, hydraulics, environmental science, seismology, physical geograph
 y), risk research, human geography, nonlinear systems dynamics, and applied
  mathematics to discuss new insights and developments about impact modeling
 , risk assessments and risk mitigation, process understanding and the analy
 sis of complex systems. Knowledge transfer, communication and networking wi
 ll be a key issue of the conference. The conference will comprise keynote s
 peeches and invited talks given by outstanding experts, oral presentations,
  poster sessions and discussions.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Alread
