 r Marine Science, which will be held in conjunction with the Gordon Researc
 h Conference (GRC) on Polar Marine Science, in March 2017 at the Ventura Be

 17: Gordon Research Conference, Polar Marine Science.</p><p>The GRS is orga
 nized, led and attended by graduate students and postdoctoral scholars, and
  is an excellent opportunity for early career scientists to present and dis
 cuss their work with their peers. This year’s theme is “Advancing the Physi
 cal-Biological Understanding of Polar Marine Ecosystems Through Innovative 
 Technology”</p><p>The week-long GRC is open to scientists at all career lev
 els and will include sessions on ecosystem status in the Arctic and Antarct
 ic, biogeochemical interactions, paleoceanographic records, technological a
 dvances in observing systems, biophysical coupled models, and more.</p><p>F
 ollowing the usual Gordon Research Conference schedule, there will be morni
 ng and evening lectures, poster sessions in the late afternoon and evening,
  and afternoons reserved for informal interactions and activities, and time
  to explore the beautiful California coast.</p><p>Applications for both the
  GRC and the GRS are now being accepted at <a href="http://www.grc.org/" ta
