DESCRIPTION:The U.S. Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (US-SCAR) invites abstr
 acts for the U.S. Antarctic Science Meeting. This meeting will take place o
 nline 12-15 July 2021.\nUS-SCAR is hosting the National Science Foundation 
 (NSF)-funded meeting for U.S. scientists who are conducting research in, fr
 om, or about Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. Scientists interested in ge
 tting involved in Antarctic research through U.S. programs are also welcome
  and encouraged to attend. There will be a mix of lightning talks, panels, 
 and social activities for the U.S. Antarctic Community to meet and interact
 .\nThe meeting and associated events will be on Zoom. There is no registrat
 ion fee. The schedule is set for two hours each day (one hour science and o
 ne hour panel) with additional time added for socializing. The panels will 
 have brief presentations by panelists, and most of the time will be devoted
