The International Conference on Southern Hemisphere Meteorology and Ocea nography series began in the early 1980s and for 40 years has provided a un ique venue for discussion of the science of the Southern Hemisphere. All th ings south of the Equator are topics for discussion at ICSHMO meetings: oce ans, ice, weather, climate, advances in science and technology, human inter actions with the environment, and reflections on the history of our science . The ICSHMO conferences bring together a special family of researchers fro m across the Southern Hemisphere and beyond.
In particular we w
ould like to invite submissions for our session ‘Antarctic sea
ice and its climate interactions’, which will be of interest to o
ceanographers and atmospheric scientists as well as sea ice specialists.
The 13th conference will have both "virtual" and "in-person" regis
tration options. Due to the international nature of ICSHMO, we are planning
to offer a programme to suit both those attending the event in New Zealand
as well those joining virtually.
