Organizers of the Gordon Research Seminar in Polar Marine Scienc e 2017 announce a call for abstract submissions.
The seminar will convene 25 March 2017 in Ventura, California .
Abstract submission deadline: 25 December 2016.
The seminar will mainly focus on innovative marine technology including autonom ous and remotely operated instruments, camera systems, advanced laboratory techniques, and numerical modeling. Early career scientists will present da ta and discuss how these technological advances improve our physical-biolog ical understanding of polar marine ecosystems.
The meeting will featu
re approximately ten talks and two postersessions. All attendees are expect
ed to actively participate in the seminar either by giving an oral presenta
tion or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an ab
stract. The Chairs will select speakers from abstracts submitted by Decembe
r 25, 2016. Those applicants
who are not chosen for talks and those wh
o apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will b
e expected to present a poster.
