DESCRIPTION:<div itemprop="articleBody"><p class="p2" style="text-align: justify;">The&
 nbsp;<strong>15th Polar Low Workshop</strong> focuses on polar lows and mes
 ocyclones as well as mesoscale weather extremes in both hemispheres. This i
 ncludes e.g. mesoscale weather phenomena such as katabatic winds, tip jets,
  boundary layer fronts, and cold air outbreaks in polar regions. Contributi
 ons of experimental, climatological, theoretical, modeling and remote sensi
 ng studies are welcome. The workshop is organized by the Polar Lows Working
  Group (PLWG) and is also part of the activities of the IASC (International
  Arctic Science Committee) Atmosphere Working Group. The 15th Polar Low Wor
 kshop will be hosted by the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology in Moscow.&nbs
 p;</p><p class="p2" style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Important!&nbsp;</
 strong></p><p class="p2" style="text-align: justify;">Due to the COVID-19 p
 andemic, the meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format. Dependent on the
  feasibility of travel, the in-person part will take place in Moscow at the
  Shirshov Institute of Oceanology. Please indicate in your abstract submiss
 ion if you intend to participate in person or remotely.&nbsp;</p><p class="
