The EGU General Assembly 2022 will return as an in-person event to Vienna, Austria, from 3–8 April 2022, once again bringing toget her geoscientists for a meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, plan etary, and space sciences. In order to ensure the widest possible participa tion by geoscientists from all over the world, EGU22 will have a hybrid for mat allowing virtual participation in specific sessions for those who canno t, or prefer not to, travel to Vienna.

With this call for abstracts, all scientific sessions are now open to receive your contribution. The dead line for abstract submission is 12 January 2022, 13:00 CET ; for those applying for EGU Roland S chlich travel support, the deadline is 1 December 2021, 13:00 CET. Only EGU members with a valid 2022 membership will be able to submit a bstracts to EGU22 and, with a few exceptions, on ly one abstract as first author will be permitted.

Note on presentation format: if you plan on partic ipating virtually, you should submit your abstract to a vP ICO session, since the oral/poster sessions will not provide the possibilit y for virtual presentation. If you plan on attending in-person in Vienna, feel free to submit to any session, vPICO as well as oral/p oster sessions.
