DESCRIPTION:<p style="text-align: justify;">The <strong>U.S. Global Change Research Pro
 gram (USGCRP)</strong> and the authors of the <strong>Fifth National Climat
 e Assessment (NCA5)</strong> invite registration for an upcoming virtual pu
 blic engagement workshop to inform development of this federal climate repo
 rt. The workshop is free and open to the public, and will take place <stron
 g>12 January 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. AKST.</strong></p><p style="t
 ext-align: justify;">The workshop will include a plenary session that provi
 des an overview of the assessment and an introduction to the chapter. In br
 eakout sessions, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the chap
 ter’s key topics and their own priorities with chapter authors.</p><p style
 ="text-align: justify;">The information gathered in this workshop will help
  authors decide which topics to cover in their chapter of the Fifth Nationa
 l Climate Assessment, a major U.S. Government report on how climate change 
 affects people and places in the United States.</p><p style="text-align: ju
 stify;">Given technical limitations, only the first 250 individuals to join
  the meeting will be able to participate.</p><p style="text-align: justify;
