 deral-university" target="_blank">Siberian Federal University</a> invites t
 o the International Summer School “Monitoring and Early Warnings in Water G
 overnance” in Krasnoyarsk, Russia on July 10–23, 2017.</p><p>The School wil
 l be the second in the series of summer schools to be organized from 2016 t
 o 2018 under the Jean-Monnet project “Systems for monitoring and responses 
 to early warnings — EU experience for Russia”.</p><p>This year it aims to d
 evelop research capacity and enhance science-policy interactions for addres
 sing water recourses governance issues in Siberia and beyond. The School wi
 ll be primarily focused on monitoring, reporting and verification systems f
 or water and ecosystem management as well as recognition of early warnings 
 and sustainable development of resources essential for our planet.</p><p><s
 trong>The target audience</strong> is graduate and post-graduate students, 
 early-stage researchers, civil servants and NGO activists around the globe 
 involved in the management of freshwater ecosystems. The participants will 
 be engaged in group projects on specific water/aquatic ecosystem-related to
 pics and will be issued a Certificate (<strong>3 ECTS</strong>) upon comple
 tion of the program.</p><p>First two days of the School will be held in the
  SibFU Campus in the city of Krasnoyarsk. The field research period of the 
 Summer School will be arranged at world-famous Baikal Lake and the Krasnoya
 rsk water reservoir (Krasnoyarsk Sea) in Russia. The locations provide sple
 ndid opportunities for setting-up case studies encompassing the range of is
