 ia on July 10–23, 2017.\nThe School will be the second in the series of sum
 mer schools to be organized from 2016 to 2018 under the Jean-Monnet project
  “Systems for monitoring and responses to early warnings — EU experience fo
 r Russia”.\nThis year it aims to develop research capacity and enhance scie
 nce-policy interactions for addressing water recourses governance issues in
  Siberia and beyond. The School will be primarily focused on monitoring, re
 porting and verification systems for water and ecosystem management as well
  as recognition of early warnings and sustainable development of resources 
 essential for our planet.\nThe target audience is graduate and post-graduat
 e students, early-stage researchers, civil servants and NGO activists aroun
 d the globe involved in the management of freshwater ecosystems. The partic
 ipants will be engaged in group projects on specific water/aquatic ecosyste
 m-related topics and will be issued a Certificate (3 ECTS) upon completion 
 of the program.\nFirst two days of the School will be held in the SibFU Cam
 pus in the city of Krasnoyarsk. The field research period of the Summer Sch
 ool will be arranged at world-famous Baikal Lake and the Krasnoyarsk water 
 reservoir (Krasnoyarsk Sea) in Russia. The locations provide splendid oppor
 tunities for setting-up case studies encompassing the range of issues to be
