Extended abstract submission deadline: Friday, 15 September 2018
Organizers announce an extended deadline for the abstract s ubmissions for the 5th International Symposium on Arctic Research ( ISAR-5) entitled "The Changing Arctic and its Regional to Global I mpact: From Information to Knowledge and Action." The symposium wil l convene 15-18 January 2018 in Tokyo, Japan.
The ISAR-5 wil l focus on discussions on environmental changes in the Arctic and their reg ional and global implications and seeking additional international scientif ic collaboration in this area by gathering, synthesizing, and sharing infor mation related to these changes occurring in the Arctic. Special emphasis w ill be placed on the fields of the social sciences and humanities.
The symposium will consist of plenary, general, and special sessions, as well as poster sessions. Special sessions are inte r-disciplinary and solicited from participants.

The deadline of the early-bird regi stration is November 15, 2017 and the late registration ends on De cember 15, 2017. On-site registration is also available during Symposium (J an. 15-18, 2018).

The symposium will address “the changing Arcti c and its regional to global impact: From information to knowledge and acti on.” The sessions you can submit your abstract are listed below and also fi nd at : https://jcar.org/isar-5/abstract/session_information.html.
- The general sessions are single disciplinary session and the special sessions are inter/multi-disciplinary session.
- Please use the template downl oading from the website (https://jcar.org/isar-5/abstract/index.html) to ma ke your abstract.
- Now Registration is not required for the submissi on of your abstract.
- If it is difficult to find a session, just pic k a general session, which is closest to the subject you will present in Sy mposium.
- Submission of abstract is limited to one for oral presenta tion, and two for poster presentation.
