 ased Solutions in an urban context, to be held in Tallinn, Estonia on 23-24
  October 2017. The deadline for applications is 10 September 2017.\nThe Fut
 ure Earth Europe Early Career Workshop is a Future Earth contribution to Na
 ture-Based Solutions: From innovation to common use, a flagship conference 
 of the Estonian Presidency of the European Union. The conference takes plac
 e on 24 to 26 October 2017 in Tallinn. The purpose of the Future Earth Earl
 y Career Workshop is to promote interdisciplinary exchange and learning bet
 ween leading early career researchers and practitioners in Europe, who are 
 working on the theme of Nature-Based Solutions for Cities and Urban areas.\
 nParticipants will work together to develop policy recommendations for sust
 ainable urban management. This will be combined with hands-on lessons learn
 ed from case studies of transdisciplinary research projects on urban sustai
 nability topics. They include how to achieve science and policy integration
  and how to manage the tradeoffs of providing resources and services, such 
 as food, energy and water, and other ecosystem services, such as recreation
 , pollination and watershed stabilisation, while remaining within the ecolo
 gical redline. The workshop will limit the number of early career professio
 nals to around 30 to guarantee intensive dialogues and exchanges.\nThe work
 shop is generously funded by the British Academy and Future Earth and organ
 ised through the Tyndall Centre, University of East Anglia in the United Ki
