DESCRIPTION:The Polar Cooperation Research Centre (PCRC) is proud to announce its third
  international symposium "The Role of Non-Arctic States/Actors in the Arcti
 c Legal Order-Making" to be held on 7-9 December 2017 at Kobe University, J
 apan.\n \nThe PCRC’s distinct research approach to the Arctic is aimed at e
 stablishing and strengthening the international legal and institutional fra
 mework so as to bring stability and foreseeability in the future of the Arc
 tic. \n \nIncreasingly, the challenges faced in the Arctic can no longer be
  addressed or tackled only within the Arctic both geographically and functi
 onally. This symposium will critically examine the positive contribution th
 at the non-Arctic States/actors can bring to such Arctic legal order-making
 , as well as challenges faced by them. \n \nPCRC symposia endeavor to be th
 ought-provoking and discussion-oriented, with each session comprising of an
  in-depth examination by an expert followed by critical discussion with the
  discussants and the participants. We do not have parallel sessions so that
