DESCRIPTION:<p>The <strong>2nd SCAR Summer School on Polar Geodesy</strong> will be hel
 d at the Ladoga Base of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI),
  in <strong>Ladozhskoe Ozero</strong>, about 70 km east of St. Petersburg, 
 Russia, from <strong>10 to 19 May 2018</strong>.</p><p>The summer school pr
 ovides a concise course on geodetic ground‐based and satellite methods focu
 ssed on polar applications in combination with lectures on geophysics and g
 laciology. The school addresses master and PhD students as well as young sc
 ientists (age limit: 30 years) to draw their interest to polar research and
  to the cooperation of different geoscientific disciplines to carry out inv
 estigations both in the Arctic and Antarctic.</p><p>Deadline for applicatio
