DESCRIPTION:The Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) is currently invol
 ved in the EU Horizon-2020 INTERACT project (https://eu-interact.org/), an 
 Arctic-wide network of field stations. In relation to this work we are orga
 nising a panel discussion about 'Fieldwork in the Arctic' during the upcomi
 ng Arctic Frontiers 2018 (http://www.arcticfrontiers.com/) conference in Tr
 omsø, Norway.\nThe aim is to have a stimulating discussion about what it ta
 kes to plan and carry out field work in the Arctic, covering aspects such a
 s logistics, safety, and how best to ensure fieldwork is as successful as p
 ossible. The hour-long discussion will comprise four panelists who will sha
 re their experiences and plenty of time for questions from the audience.\nP
