DESCRIPTION:The Norwegian Polar Institute and the Research Council of Norway invite you
  to the second Seminar on Research in and about the Antarctic, a follow-up 
 of the seminar held in 2016.\nThe seminar is primarily targeted towards res
 earchers in Norway and Norwegian agencies, authorities and decision-makers 
 with interests or responsibilities relating to Antarctica.\nThe seminar is 
 intended to provide:\n\n - a meeting place for new and established Antarcti
 c researchers in Norway across all scientific fields (nature, history, poli
 tical science, etc.);\n - an arena for disseminating information about ongo
 ing and recently concluded research projects related to the Antarctic;\n - 
 an arena for providing information about the framework for Norwegian Antarc
 tic research;\n - a think-tank to develop new ideas and strategies in conne
 ction with interdisciplinary Antarctic research.The focus of the seminar wi
 ll be on disseminating recent findings from ongoing research projects, pres
 entations of new projects and targeted discussions on selected strategic re
 search topics in addition to providing information about available research
