DESCRIPTION:<p>The international Summer School Climate Change, jointly organized by the
  Center for Earth System Research and Sustainability (CEN) at Universität H
 amburg, the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M), and the German Cl
 imate Computing Center (DKRZ) invites applications from students and prospe
 ctive scientists who have a strong interest in climate, Earth system, and s
 ustainability research. The curriculum consists of a broad range of lecture
 s by expert scientists, as well as excursions and lab work. During hands-on
  sessions, participants will run complex Earth-system models using local co
 mputation facilities and focus on data analysis and interpretation. The Cli
 mate Change program will be complemented by sessions on German culture and 
 history—topics will be discussed and taught on field trips and during excur
 sions. A language course and extracurricular activities, such as a day trip
  to Berlin, are also included into the Summer School. Join us for knowledge
