DESCRIPTION:The international Summer School Climate Change, jointly organized by the Ce
 nter for Earth System Research and Sustainability (CEN) at Universität Hamb
 urg, the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M), and the German Clima
 te Computing Center (DKRZ) invites applications from students and prospecti
 ve scientists who have a strong interest in climate, Earth system, and sust
 ainability research. The curriculum consists of a broad range of lectures b
 y expert scientists, as well as excursions and lab work. During hands-on se
 ssions, participants will run complex Earth-system models using local compu
 tation facilities and focus on data analysis and interpretation. The Climat
 e Change program will be complemented by sessions on German culture and his
 tory—topics will be discussed and taught on field trips and during excursio
 ns. A language course and extracurricular activities, such as a day trip to
  Berlin, are also included into the Summer School. Join us for knowledge, c
