 OLAR2018 - the joint SCAR and IASC Conference - in Davos, Switzerland, the 
 theme for this two-day event on 17-18 June 2017 will be “Connecting the Pol
 es.”</p><p>Day one (Sunday, 17 June) of the APECS World Summit 2018 will br
 ing together official representatives from the APECS National Committees an
 d APECS’ leadership to discuss APECS projects and the current and future st
 ate of collaborative research between polar regions. Day two (Monday, 18 Ju
 ne) is an open workshop for all interested early career researchers attendi
 ng POLAR2018, focusing on interdisciplinary research, collaboration and exc
