DESCRIPTION:NET is a school project in which ten students from the Istituto Tecnico Ind
 ustriale Statale “Max Planck” high school in Treviso (Italy) become involve
 d in scientific research about climate change in the Arctic environment. Th
 e purpose of the project is to expose students to the various issues and te
 chniques involved in climate change research at the poles, and how knowledg
 e gained from polar research on climate change can inform climate change de
 cisions back home in Italy.\nFollowing the field portion of the work, the s
 tudents will gain experience in science communication and outreach by prepa
 ring presentations of their experience that will be shared with the public.
  In order to secure the last funding needed to support this project, NET is
  sponsoring a crowdfunding campaign, more information about which can be fo

 /net/.\nThe start / end dates are not necessarily relevant here, as this is
  an ongoing project. The field portion is scheduled for July 2018, and the 
 science communication portion will take place in late 2018 / 2019, but upda
