DESCRIPTION:<p>The Anchorage Arctic Research Summit (ANCARS) aims to spur innovation in
  how we study and understand the North. The event will provide an opportuni
 ty for Anchorage researchers to share their knowledge of the Arctic and to 
 network with others in the community.</p><p>This year’s conference theme, “
 <strong>Transforming Research and Scholarship in the North</strong>" will b
 e addressed in two morning sessions: "Transforming Research &amp; Scholarsh
 ip on Arctic Economic Security" and "Transforming Research &amp; Scholarshi
 p on Arctic Environmental Security." Each session will feature a keynote sp
 eaker followed by a panel presentation.</p><p>Organizers invite abstract su
 bmissions for keynote and panel presentations on the focus of the two sessi
 on topics: Arctic Economic Security and Arctic Environmental Security. Both
  topics are broadly defined to ensure a diversity and balance of perspectiv
 es, including perspectives rooted in Indigenous world views, non-traditiona
 l research methods, and/or framed in terms of gender.</p><p>Further informa
 tion, including participant registration and the event agenda, will be avai
 lable soon through the Anchorage Museum website.</p><p>The&nbsp;<a href="ht
