DESCRIPTION:This autumn, SIOS will offer a training course on how to effectively use sa
 tellite data, tools and software in the context of marine research in Svalb
 ard. The course is intended for researchers, PhD students and technicians w
 ith no or little experience with satellite remote sensing techniques. The t
 raining will be delivered by marine remote sensing experts from SIOS member
  institutions.\n \nTime: 2-5 September 2019 (starting Monday morning, endin
 g Thursday at lunch time)\nLocation: Longyearbyen, Svalbard\nWho can apply?
  In this second round, non-SIOS members can also apply\nApplicants will be 
 assessed continuously until all places are filled!\n \nThis training course
  is free of charge.\n \nCourse participants are expected to bring their own
