You are invited to the Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee's (I ARPC) June Sea Ice Collaboration Team Meeting that will take place June 24t h from 1:00 - 2:00 pm ET (9 am AKT). The theme of the meeting is Arctic Sea Ice Thickness: It's All about Perspective.
Developing methods to acc urately evaluate and communicate sea ice thickness is important for a wide range of applications, from the sustainability and safety of local communit ies to basin-wide predictions of sea ice conditions. Join us to learn more about the newest satellite-based observations being collected from ICESat-2 (presented by Sinead Farrell, U. Maryland) and a new sea ice notification framework being developed for coastal communities (Nathan Kettle, IARC). Pa rticipate in a series of discussions aimed at building stronger connections between the observing, modeling, and user communities.
The meeting w ill begin with updates from the community. We invite all meeting attendees to share announcements, recent findings (published or unpublished), ideas f or collaboration, requests for future meetings, or anything that you wish t o share or ask, etc.
