 ol has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The organisers plan to 
 run it in summer 2021 instead.</span></strong></em></p><p>The&nbsp;<strong 
 class="">Sixth International Summer School in Glaciology</strong>&nbsp;orga
 nized by the University of&nbsp;Alaska, Fairbanks (UAF), will be held in Mc
 Carthy, central Alaska, from 6 to 16 June&nbsp;2020.&nbsp;<br class="" /><b
 r class="" />The course will provide a comprehensive overview of the physic
 s of glaciers and current&nbsp;research frontiers in glaciology with focus 
 on quantitative glaciology and remote sensing.&nbsp;The course is open to 2
 8 graduate students from around the world targeting primarily&nbsp;early st
 age PhD students who perform glacier-related research. It will be taught by
  faculty&nbsp;of UAF’s glaciology group and several invited guest instructo
 rs from outside Alaska.<br class="" /><br class="" /><strong class="">Appli
