ESA will held the first North American CryoSat Science meeting next spri ng in Banff (Alberta, Canada), 20-24 March 2017.
The submissi on of abstracts is now open on www.cry osat2017.org. Deadline is 4th December 2016.
The meeting will provide a unique forum for scientists to share the state-of-the-art i n research and applications, review mission achievements and prepare for th e continued use of the CryoSat mission in the future.
The meeting is organised approximately seven years after launch of CryoSat and will highli ght areas where the mission has made significant contribution including cry osphere, oceanography, geodesy, hydrology, topography, meteorology, climate change and operations.
The meeting will be also instrumental to iden tify new scientific challenges in view of the extension beyond 2019 and, in general, for its possible successor.
Co-sponsored by a number of int ernational institutions, the meeting is open to all worldwide interested Cr yoSat stakeholders and data users. There will be no conference fee but the participants are required to finance their own travel and accommodation.
