DESCRIPTION:<p>We are happy to announce that the <strong>34th Forum for Research into I
 ce Shelf Processes (FRISP)</strong> will take place, in the form of a virtu
 al workshop. We are very excited to try out this new format, and hope you a
 re too! For details on the agenda,&nbsp;registration (without fee) and subm

 sp2020">FRISP 2020 website</a>. </strong>Registration and abstract submissi
 on closes on <strong>31 May 2020. </strong>We will send out a detailed sche
 dule and information on the online format soon thereafter.<strong>&nbsp;</s
 trong><br />&nbsp;</p><p>We plan four sessions (each session will last abou
 t 3 hours) on the following dates:<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 16.06 (Tuesday)
 ,&nbsp; 2pm CET<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 17.06 (Wednesday),&nbsp; 8am CET<b

 ese meetings at alternating times during the week so that we can accommodat
 e as many people as possible, given different time zones etc. <br /> <br />

 </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>FRISP is an annual meeting to share research related to
  ice shelves, and their interactions with the ice sheet, ocean, and atmosph
 ere. It is an Expert Group of the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.scar.org/" targ
 et="_blank" rel="noopener" data-cke-saved-href="https://www.scar.org/">Scie
 ntific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR)</a>, and has organised&nbsp;<
 a href="https://folk.uib.no/ngfso/FRISP/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" da
 ta-cke-saved-href="https://folk.uib.no/ngfso/FRISP/">regular meetings in Eu
 rope since 1984</a>. FRISP is an appropriate meeting to present work in pro
 gress and discuss emerging research ideas, and is well-suited to early care
 er researchers as well as senior scientists.</p><p>Registration deadline: M
