 ronmental changes in the Arctic: from past to present’ from 25-28 May 2021T
 he conference will run for about four hours each day, from 14:00-18:15 CET 
 (http://palaeoarc2021.dst.unipi.it/index.php/timetable),\nwith a combinatio
 n of live talks and discussions and potentially pre-recorded content releva
 nt to the daily themes.\n\nWe welcome contributions on the overall theme of
  the network research programme <a href="http://www.palaeoarc.no/">PalaeoAr
 c</a> that \naims to understand past and present environmental changes and 
 processes in the Arctic.\n\n\nIn particular, we invite oral and poster cont
 ributions on four themes divided in four thematic days:\n- 25 May 2021: Rol
 e and dynamics of Arctic ice sheets and ice caps;\n- 26 May 2021: Role and 
 dynamics of high latitude ocean and sea ice;\n- 27 May 2021: Role and dynam
 ics of terrestrial environment and landscape evolution;\n- 28 May 2021: Cli
 mate response to, and interaction between, different parts of the Arctic Sy
 stem.\n\nImportant dates:\nAbstract deadline: 15 March 2021\nRegistration d
 eadline: 15 April 2021\n\n\nThe Program Committee will select the winner fo
 r the Best Student Talk and Best Student Poster award.\nTo be eligible, the
  presenting author of the poster must be a full-time student.\n- 24 May 202
 1: a workshop on arctic foraminifera is offered for young researchers.\n\nA
  special volume of Arctic Alpine and Antarctic Research (AAAR) is planned i
 n conjunction with the PaleoArc2021 conference.\nThe special issue in AAAR
