SUMMARY:BEPSII/ECVice 2020 meeting online
DESCRIPTION:<p>The BEPSII Annual Meeting will be held online during the week of 24 - 28
  August 2020 and will include various discussions and poster sessions. The 
 meeting will also include an event for Early Career Researchers on the 21st
  August. BEPSII is an open network for international knowledge exchange rel
 ated to Biogeochemcial Exchanges Processe at sea ice Interface. BEPSII aims
  to quantify the role of sea ice in polar ecosystem services – from biodive
 rsity impacts to climate change – and communicate these globally-relevant i
 ssues.</p><p>Joint BEPSII and ECVice annual meeting is one of the main foru
 m to discuss science highlights but also ongoing and future activities rela
 ted to sea ice biogeochemistry.&nbsp; The meeting, originally planned to be
  held in Hobart, will be hold online, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are 
 inviting our community to engage in new ways. We hope that BEPSII/ECVice 20
 20 online will be an important space for discussion for sea ice biogeochemi
 stry community, and to keep momentum in our research, at a time of social d
 istancing. BEPSII/ECVice 2020 will also be devoted to gather BEPSII, ECVice
  and CATCH communities.<br /> <br /> Date: 24-28 August 2020. Planning incl
 ude one all timezone overlapping session per day as well as "round-the-worl
 d" discussion sessions (moving along timezones) and an online poster sessio
 n.<br /> <br /> BEPSII/ECVice meeting will be preceded by an Early Carrier 
 Scientist meeting on the 21-07-2020<br /> <br /> In additions to task group
  updates for BEPSII and ECVice, round-the-world discussion will address:<br
  /> 1. Developing a position analysis for the Antarctic<br /> 2. Joint BEPS
 II-CATCH cruise discussion<br /> 3. Developing a joined CATCH -BEPSII SCOR
