We are happy to announce that the 34th Forum for Research into I
ce Shelf Processes (FRISP) will take place, in the form of a virtu
al workshop. We are very excited to try out this new format, and hope you a
re too! For details on the agenda, registration (without fee) and submittin
g your abstract see the FRISP 2020 website. Registration and abstract submission cl
oses on 31 May 2020. We will send out a detailed schedule
and information on the online format soon thereafter.
We plan four sessions (each session will last about 3 hours) on t
he following dates:
16.06 (Tuesday), 2pm CET
17.06 (We
dnesday), 8am CET
24.06 (Wednesday), 5pm CET
25.06 (T
hursday), 10am CET
The plan is to host these meetings at alte
rnating times during the week so that we can accommodate as many people as
possible, given different time zones etc.

FRISP is an ann ual meeting to share research related to ice shelves, and their interaction s with the ice sheet, ocean, and atmosphere. It is an Expert Group of the < a href="https://www.scar.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-cke-save d-href="https://www.scar.org/">Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research ( SCAR), and has organised regular meetings in Europe since 1984. FRISP is an appropriate meeting to present work in progress and discuss emerging research ideas, an d is well-suited to early career researchers as well as senior scientists.< /p>
