Dr. Frank Rack is the ANDRILL Executive Director, with responsibility for the overall management of the ANDRILL Science Management Office at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, including strategic planning, project development, research, education and outreach, and administrative oversight of the U.S. ANDRILL Program. Dr. Rack is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geosciences at UNL. Dr. Rack served as Director of Ocean Drilling Programs at Joint Oceanographic Institutions (2003 to 2006) and Asst. Director of the U.S. Science Support Program (1998-2003), where he contributed to new ventures on methane hydrates, technology development, and ocean observing systems. Dr. Rack served as a research scientist in the Ocean Mapping Group of the University of New Brunswick (Canada) from 1993 to 1998. He earned his Ph.D. in Geological/Geophysical Oceanography from Texas A&M University in 1992, and B. S. in Natural Resources from the University of Rhode Island in 1979.
